Moussa Hassoun Takes Honorable Mention Award at Harvard!

Sunday, February 17th, 2013
Bentley University spent the past four days representing Portugal at the 59th Harvard National Model United Nations Conference. Among over 3,000 students, with universities from 48 different countries, Bentley's delegation of 22 students represented Portugal in 12 different committees, from GA & ECOSOC bodies, to the IAEA 1957 and the Security Council.
While many Bentley delegates made significant contributions to their committees and saw the resolutions they supported passed, Bentley's Moussa Hassoun was recognized for his significant contributions in the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development with an Honorable Mention Award. The club is very proud of Moussa's efforts and representing Bentley with such energy, compromise, and negotiation, as he spearheaded many of the efforts of his committee - including the work as author of the only two Amendments to pass in the committee... both passing unanimously. Congrats to Moussa and the rest of the Bentley Delegation on a job well-done this past weekend!
About Us

The focus of Bentley Model United Nations ("BentleyMUN") is to promote interest and awareness of international affairs by researching global issues connected with the United Nations, attending college conferences, and sharing the Model UN experience through hosting a High School and Middle School conference. Our focus is not competition, but cooperation, education, and global awareness. This is reflected in the way that we host our "educational" conferences and have an "open" travel-team: we do not limit our team to those most competitive, but encourage particpation in the Model UN experience for members both old and new.
